L’église avec son chœur du VI° siècle compte parmi les plus anciennes églises de France. La nef, construite au XII°s. possède des chapiteaux originaux : mariage, Tentation, dragon dévorant un damné, griffons. L’édifice a été construit sur les vestiges d’un sanctuaire romain du II°-III° siècles . Avec le baptistère, l’église formait un ensemble religieux de premier plan à l’époque mérovingienne.

Site en entrée libre. Attention : l’église est en cours de travaux de restauration, depuis avril 2010. Durée prévue des travaux : 2 ans.

The church with the choir of the 6th century is one of the oldest church in France. In the nave built in the 12th century, are original capitals : marriage, temptation, dragons and griffins. The edifice was built on remains of a Roman sanctuary. The church formed with the baptistery a prominent religious ensemble of the Merovingian period.Guided tours on reservation all the year. Closed in 2010 and 2011 for restorations.
